National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations System

In the USA, a computerized system for trading in over-the-counter securities that began operations in 1971. Owned and operated by the National Association of Securities Dealers, it is the largest stock market in the USA, listing more than 5000 companies. NASDAQ International is an international system providing screen-based quotations for US-registered equities that came into operation in 1992.
